Marketing and Sales Specialist - Canada

EScIS is looking to expand awareness of our products, capability and track record in Canada. The successful candidate will:

  • Understand the challenges Scientists and Engineers in Canada face in managing and reporting Laboratory and Field data.
  • Understand the solutions EScIS has developed to address these challenges.
  • Develop a Business Development Strategy for Canada.
  • Oversee and execute the Strategy.
  • Maintain industry and client relationships .
  • Coordinate and attend conferences and other events.
  • Generate Leads
  • Liase with other staff and clients to generate, source and promote relevant and interesting content.
  • Input to USA and global Business Development strategy and execution.

We expect the successful applicant to:

  • Have experience promoting services or products to Scientists or Engineers.
  • Be familiar with the environmental consulting and mining industries in Canada.
  • Be familiar with the Canadian environmental laboratories and their clients
  • Have excellent personal and written communication skills.
  • Have existing industry contacts.

What you can expect as an EScIS Developer

The team at EScIS is currently undertaking extensive software ongoing development for existing applications.

We require a Developer to assist with:

  • Developing upgrades to existing commercial licenced and cloud software
  • Delivering custom work to clients, based on the above software
  • Assisting with general IT tasks related to onsite servers or azure
  • Developing internal software systems

What you will bring

Essential skills:

  • Strong knowledge and capability in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript and jQuery
  • 2+ years working with C#, LINQ, MVC, Web API 2, Entity Framework
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience using Object oriented design and principles
  • Ability to understand and tune T-SQL and SQL queries
  • Good understanding of HTTP and data exchange using JSON or XML

Highly desirable skills:

  • Familiar with Source Control/collaborative software system (preferably VSO/TFS) and Agile/Scrum processes
  • Experience with IIS and Azure environment
  • User Experience / UI design considerations
  • Test development and documentation

Our Technology stack also includes:

  • Kendo UI, Open Layers, Backbone.js, D3.js
  • Telerik
  • Excel and OpenXML programming

Other essential information

  • The position is full-time and is either based in Byron Bay, or work from home with possible hot-desking if in Sydney.
